VOT will work to ensure UVA students are surrounded by the information they need to decide who represents them in VA-05

CHARLOTTESVILLE — Voters of Tomorrow, the largest Gen Z-led voter outreach organization in the country, today announced an ad campaign at the University of Virginia highlighting Tom Perriello’s priorities and holding Rep. John McGuire accountable for his votes in support of kicking young people off their parents’ insurance and against banning child marriage.

The $25,000 campaign will place ads across campus-specific physical and digital media, in the student newspaper, and college website, as well as on branded coasters in college bars. Mailers promoting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s endorsement of Perriello have also been sent out to students.

“The race for Virginia’s 5th district will be decided by Gen Z. Voters of Tomorrow is working hard to ensure that students understand their power and use it this November.” said Santiago Mayer, executive director for Voters of Tomorrow. “Tom Perriello is the only candidate in the race that’s aligned with students’ priorities — lowering costs, ensuring data centers pay their own bills, and holding Epstein’s friends accountable. There is so much at stake for young people this cycle, that’s why it’s crucial for students going to class, going to their dorm, or opening their emails to be exposed to information that’ll help them make a difference at the ballot box.”

This campaign will support VOT’s existing organizing efforts through campus and distributed fellows, who have made over 160,000 voter contacts in VA-05 so far.
