Voters of Tomorrow To Hold First-of-Its-Kind Youth Political Summit

Voters of Tomorrow, a Gen Z-led non-profit that engages and represents young people in politics, announced today the Leaders of Tomorrow Summit (LOT), a first-of-its-kind, invite-only political summit bringing together youth leaders from across the country.

Confirmed speakers at this time for the event include:

  • Olivia Julianna, Gen Z activist
  • Malcolm Kenyatta, Pennsylvania State Representative
  • Paxton Smith, abortion activist
  • Will Larkins, LGBTQ+ rights activist
  • Alexandria Villaseñor, climate activist
  • And many more to be announced

The LOT Summit, taking place on August 12-13 and sponsored by the American Federation of Teachers, will be a celebration of the youth pro-democracy movement. The ultimate purpose of the LOT Summit is to unite leaders from diverse backgrounds, communities, and areas of expertise and craft a comprehensive strategy to protect young people from the regressive policies of the far-right and empower the next generation of civic leaders to tackle our generation’s most pressing issues. LOT will provide attendees the opportunity to work directly with thought leaders, influencers, and elected officials — all while also building networks, attending workshops, and hearing from various speakers.

Attendees will be focused on finding ways to protect youth rights across the country, in every arena from the classroom to the ballot box. They’ll work together to construct strategies that will increase youth voter turnout in the November midterm elections and beyond, as well as brainstorm new mechanisms to hold those in power accountable – from corrupt C-suite executives and standpat school boards, to the U.S. Congress and state legislatures.

Voters of Tomorrow Executive Director Santiago Mayer issued the following statement about the event: “Throughout our work, we’ve noticed that young people are a coalition ready for activism, but there’s a lack of coordination to get them mobilized. Thus, the idea for our first-ever Leaders of Tomorrow Summit was born. Our team has been hard at work for months planning the Summit, and we’re excited to finally see it come to fruition. We hope that by hosting this event, we can bring together the youth movement in a way that’s never been done before and unite young people around candidates that represent our best interests and shared values at the ballot box in November and beyond.”
