Champions
Our generation has earned its place in the political process. Over the last three cycles, we have voted in massive numbers and delivered decisive margins. Even so, half of voters ages 18-29 still reported that they were not contacted by any candidate, party, or political organization about the 2022 midterms. Gen Z still has so much untapped potential.
Voters of Tomorrow and our Youth Vote Champions are committed to breaking this cycle of disconnect. Through the 2024 election and beyond, these leaders will help harness youth political power by engaging with, educating, and empowering Gen Z in their campaigns. Together, we will energize a new generation of civically engaged Americans — a mission that is both politically savvy and crucial to our democracy’s future.
The full Youth Vote Champion pledge and its signatories are as follows:
As a Voters of Tomorrow Youth Vote Champion, I am committed to uplifting young people in the political process through sustained youth voter outreach. Leading up to the 2024 election, I pledge to:
- Engage with Gen Zers on issues they care about through youth-oriented campaign events, such as those on college and high school campuses;
- Educate Gen Zers about the value of voting and civic participation; and
- Empower Gen Zers to get involved directly in my campaign.
Young Americans have historically been left out of politics and government. I recognize that bridging this significant gap will require a greater focus on youth voter outreach not only in the weeks before Election Day but throughout each election cycle. I also understand that including young people in discussions about my campaign and legislative actions can be hugely mutually beneficial.
I remain committed to harnessing youth political power — because Gen Z’s participation in politics and government is essential to the strength of our democracy.
